Our participatory grantmaking alters the traditional process of philanthropic giving by empowering service providers and community-based organizations to define the strategy around a specific issue area or population.

About

John Church, CFA, is Glenmede’s Director of Endowment and Foundation Impact Portfolio Management. He provides investment advice and portfolio management for endowment, foundation and not-for-profit clients, particularly those with impact-aligned mandates. He is responsible for portfolio construction, sourcing

impact-aligned investment strategies and implementing new technologies and best practices to help E&F clients achieve their mission. John has a passion for investing and a background in manager research, having worked for Glenmede for nearly 20 years. John received a B.S., cum laude, in business from Skidmore College. He is a Trustee and Treasurer for St. Mark’s Church in Philadelphia, an Investment Committee member for YMCA of Greater Brandywine, and Chair of the Investment Committee for the Orpheus Club of Philadelphia, where he enjoys singing and playing guitar. John is a nationally recognized speaker on various investment topics at industry conferences and events. John and his wife reside in the Philadelphia suburbs, along with their two beautiful children. John is honored to serve the Scattergood Foundation and help advance its mission.
