We fund organizations and projects which disrupt our current behavioral health space and create impact at the individual, organizational, and societal levels.
Our participatory funds alter traditional grantmaking by shifting power
to impacted communities to direct resources and make funding decisions.
We build public and private partnerships to administer grant dollars toward targeted programs.
We provide funds at below-market interest rates that can be particularly useful to start, grow, or sustain a program, or when results cannot be achieved with grant dollars alone.

With this grant we will be able to continue teaching our English and Citizenship classes on a weekly basis. We will be able to continue providing legal assistance to those seeking legal status or help. Lastly we can keep giving to those in need of food, clothing, utility assistance or those simply in need of a friend.
Being blessed with this $10,000 award will allow us to reach out to an even bigger number of people. With this grant we will be able to continue teaching our English and Citizenship classes on a weekly basis. We will be able to continue providing legal assistance to those seeking legal status or help. Lastly we can keep giving to those in need of food, clothing, utility assistance or those simply in need of a friend. Going back once again to our mission, we do this work and provide these services for immigrants and others so that they can improve the quality of their lives through access to education, support services and programs, which in turn leads to self-sufficiency. To be able to be self-sufficient is something that gives someone a sense of pride. Knowing you are able to move through this world independently and free of worry is a very big gift we want to give those that walk through our doors, and it’s something that so many immigrants have been able to obtain in our 20 years in the Kensington neighborhood.
