We fund organizations and projects which disrupt our current behavioral health space and create impact at the individual, organizational, and societal levels.
Our participatory funds alter traditional grantmaking by shifting power
to impacted communities to direct resources and make funding decisions.
We build public and private partnerships to administer grant dollars toward targeted programs.
We provide funds at below-market interest rates that can be particularly useful to start, grow, or sustain a program, or when results cannot be achieved with grant dollars alone.

Operation in My Back Yard (OPIMBY) is a grassroots non profit organization based in Philadelphia’s Kensington Neighborhood providing harm reduction services to the community. OPIMBY started in 2017, and our mission is to end the stigma of substance use disorders through education, outreach and advocacy. Our goal is to decrease overdose deaths and the spread of preventable diseases like HIV and HCV. Our services include distributing meals, safe consumption kits, Naloxone, Fentanyl and Xylazine test strips, condoms and other supplies to reduce harm in the community and among people who use drugs. OPIMBY also provides basic first aid/wound care services and has a resource center run by social workers and people with case management experience To help participants apply for benefits, access other community resources including medical care, housing, treatment for substance use and education around drug trends and overdose surges. OPIMBY believes that true harm reduction considers our impact in communities. Therefore, we focus on community clean ups after each outreach service.
