We received your information and will be in contact soon!
We provide funds at below-market interest rates that can be particularly useful to start, grow, or sustain a program, or when results cannot be achieved with grant dollars alone.
We support local small- and mid-size organizations that are working to advance recommendations outlined in the Think Bigger Do Good Policy Series.
Our participatory funds alter traditional grantmaking by shifting power
to impacted communities to direct resources and make funding decisions.
We fund organizations and projects which disrupt our current behavioral health space and create impact at the individual, organizational, and societal levels.

The BlackStar Film Festival highlights filmmakers creating work about behavioral health in communities of color alongside representatives from film-centered organizations who have been offering mental health related support to their audiences.
Using storytelling to understand the experiences of our ancestors, healing from trauma as people of color, and developing a world safe for future generations to thrive in, the BlackStar Film Festival will host a Mental Health & Filmmaking Panel. During this panel discussion, BlackStar will highlight filmmakers creating work about behavioral health in communities of color alongside representatives from film-centered organizations who have been offering mental health related support to their audiences. Together, BlackStar and its partners will shift paradigms, misconceptions, and stigmas surrounding behavioral health by reimagining spaces for healing outside of traditional institutions and structures.
