We fund organizations and projects which disrupt our current behavioral health space and create impact at the individual, organizational, and societal levels.
Our participatory funds alter traditional grantmaking by shifting power
to impacted communities to direct resources and make funding decisions.
We build public and private partnerships to administer grant dollars toward targeted programs.
We provide funds at below-market interest rates that can be particularly useful to start, grow, or sustain a program, or when results cannot be achieved with grant dollars alone.

Mad Beatz Philly trains drummers from Philadelphia communities to be performers and teachers under the mentorship of compassionate professionals from their very own neighborhoods.
Mad Beatz Philly has planned three outcomes for this funding:
1. Introduce elements of HBCU drumline training and performance to our educational programming to prepare participants to audition for and receive scholarships from Historically Black Colleges and Universities;
2. Expand our Emerging Teacher Training Program to include paid internships for 10th, 11th, and 12th graders of color interested in teaching, and;
3. Offer three cohorts of training sessions for Junior and Senior teaching artists to help them improve pedagogy and communication skills, and prepare to enter Philadelphia’s teaching workforce as full-time educators.
