From Volunteer Led to Immigrant Led

Community Fund for Wellness

Immigrant Rights Action meets community needs through building stronger connections to community resources and collaborating with others to promote wellness which empowers immigrant communities to thrive.

About

Immigrant Rights Action seeks to ensure that the human rights of neighbors are upheld. They do this through access to immigration legal services, education, connection to community resources, and collaboration with allies. The Community Fund for Immigrant Wellness grant will be used toward Promoting healing and resilience in immigrant communities through expansion of their existing programs and implementation of new programs. They would like to highlight our Comite de Liderazgo/Leadership Committee, a group of immigrant leaders, for sharing and discussing ways to address the changing needs of our immigrant community.

New programming includes:

  • ITIN Program – This program will partner with an IRS certified ITIN acceptance office to offer assistance with processing and applying for an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number.
  • Mental Health Access Program – This program will collaborate with bilingual mental health providers so we can identify and refer clients to free mental health services.
